TERM
TÜV
TÜV is the everyday name for the Hauptuntersuchung under § 29 StVZO, the technical inspection of a vehicle at fixed intervals; the sticker expires at the end of the month it shows, and the authority may prohibit the vehicle's use.
Cars used for passenger transport under the Passenger Transport Act, meaning taxis and hire cars, and ambulances must be inspected every twelve months; private cars first after 36 and then every 24 months (Annex VIII StVZO).
In MitaBase the due date sits with the vehicle; the panel warns the driver in the app and dispatch on the board, it does not block the vehicle.
