P-Schein
The P-Schein is the passenger-transport permit under § 48 FeV, needed by anyone who carries passengers for payment in a taxi, hire car or ambulance; exempt are, among others, ambulances of the rescue service, fire brigade and civil protection, and holders of licence class D or D1.
Requirements include being 21 and holding a class B licence for at least two years; when limited to ambulances a lower age and one year apply (§ 48 (4) FeV).
It is issued for at most five years and extended on application for up to five years at a time (§ 48 (5) FeV).
In MitaBase the expiry date sits in the driver's staff file; the panel warns before it is reached.
